paragraph  Under the patronage of Prof. Ibrahim Saber, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Hassan El-Shanawy, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Prof. El-Sayed Abdel-Hady, President of the University, and under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed Hamad Ghazi, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Sherif Youssef El-Nagdy, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty of Dentistry at Horus University participated in the Dental Syndicate Conference in Damietta, held at the Steigenberger Hotel in Ras El Bar on November 28-29, 2024.

On the sidelines of the aforementioned conference, several workshops were conducted in various specialties in the halls and laboratories of the Faculty of Dentistry at Horus University. The details are as follows:

– In the Orthodontics specialty, Assistant Lecturer Islam Gharab conducted a workshop on Thursday, November 14, 2024, titled:
– Aligners in Daily Practice: Clinical Knowledge for GPS

– In the Pediatric Dentistry specialty, Associate Professor Ahmed Wali held a workshop on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, titled:
– All You Need to Know About Pediatric Treatment Under General Anesthesia

– In the Endodontics specialty, Dr. Magdy Mohy El-Din conducted a workshop on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, titled:
– Strategies to Manage Severely Curved Canals, Ledge and Splits (Causes, Detection and Management)

– In the Fixed Prosthodontics specialty, Dr. Mohamed Shams held a workshop on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, titled:
– From Prep to Cement: The Journey of Dental Veneers

Additionally, several faculty members from the Faculty of Dentistry at Horus University chaired sessions at the aforementioned conference, including Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hamad Ghazi, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Sherif Youssef El-Nagdy, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Youna Mohamed El-Shanawy, Professor of Oral Medicine and Periodontology, Prof. Naglaa Mahmoud Salama, Head of the Oral Pathology Department, Prof. Rabab Ibrahim Salama, Head of the Pediatric Dentistry Department, and Associate Professors Tamer Mohamed El-Shahawy, Acting Head of the Conservative Dentistry Department, and Mahmoud El-Sharbin, Assistant Professor of Oral Pathology.

Regarding the activities of the conference, faculty members and the supporting staff from the Faculty of Dentistry at Horus University participated in numerous lectures. The following presentations were made:

6. Assistant Lecturers Mohamed El-Tanahi and Ahmed El-Masri, Fixed Prosthodontics, presented a lecture titled: Advanced Prosthetic Strategies for Implants in the Esthetic Zone
