The Faculty of Dentistry at Horus University welcomed its internship students at the beginning of their clinical training journey on Saturday, October 25, 2025, in Hall A at the faculty premises, with the presence of many faculty members and teaching assistants.

The Welcome Day Included Several Valuable Lectures:
1. Dental Ethics and Malpractice Delivered by Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Shahat – Dean of the Faculty This lecture paved the professional path for internship doctors and instilled medical responsibility awareness. Ethics is the first shield of a successful dentist.
2. Managing Medical Emergencies in The Dental Office Delivered by Associate Prof. Dr. Iman Abdel Salam – Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery A practical lecture that enhances the readiness of internship doctors to act confidently and professionally in emergency situations within the clinic.
3. Guidelines for Internship Year Delivered by Associate Prof. Dr. Walaa El-Samouly – Assistant Professor of Conservative Dentistry and Director of the Clinics Aimed to introduce internship doctors to the clinic work system, training objectives, and professional development mechanisms throughout the year.
4. A promotional speech by Dr. Mahmoud Rashid representing HALEON, the sponsor of the welcome day, promoting the toothpaste product Sensodyne.
At the end of the day, the faculty administration wished the internship doctors a year full of learning, experience, and professional maturity. The internship phase is not just a training year but the true beginning of a professional dental career.
