The Faculty of Dentistry was established as one of the faculties of Horus University – Egypt, by Presidential Decree No. 119 of 2013. The faculty aims to contribute to raising the level of education and scientific research, providing academic specializations to prepare professionals, technicians, and experts in various fields, thereby linking its objectives with the needs of a developing society. It also offers research services to external parties, and the University provides state-of-the-art technological equipment while striving to strengthen cultural and scientific ties with universities and scientific bodies, benefiting from the advancements achieved by developed countries through their adoption of the latest academic methods and technologies.

The academic activities of the Faculty of Dentistry at Horus University – Egypt commenced pursuant to Ministerial Decree No. (4566) dated 5/9/2016, starting from the first semester of the 2016/2017 academic year. The faculty is committed to launching a postgraduate studies and research sector by offering a distinguished set of academic programs covering all fields of dentistry, including basic and applied sciences, to provide students with a rich educational experience that enhances their knowledge and skills, culminating in the award of academic degrees.
